I think I might become a recluse.

Friend has just turned up on the doorstep...and I had no idea what was going on - apparently they're (my usual group of friends) going to the cinema. I didn't have a clue because I haven't been informed.

Now, the fact he turned up (seemingly assuming I had been told and had agreed to come) is some saving grace. If they didn't actually want me to go then I wouldn't have even had that and not been told about it at all.

However, I am pissed off now...because I know about it and with no offers from my mates saying that they can postpone it whilst they give me a bit of time to get ready or offer any such alternative. The mate claimed I was phoned and had agreed to it...when I have neither a phone call or a txt message on my phone.

Friends not to blame for my phone's breakdown in communication - but they all have my own number and would have thought common sense would suggest to them to give me a ring and see if I had received any communication.

But no.

So instead I'm going to take that 5 minute walk down to the pub and get absolutely spannered. Not sensible...but why start now?

I know where you're coming from. A lot of my friends have gone to Nottingham Pride today and I didn't know they were going until late last night. They all presumed someone else had asked me if I was going and didn't ask themselves... now where's harm in two different people asking me the same thing? I couldn't have gone anyway since I can't afford to, but that's not the point. Even if I could, there would be sorting out somewhere to stay the night, and having time to do some laundry so I'd got something to wear. :roll:

Would it not have been better to have gone with him and enjoy the evening and then if the rest of the group were ok you were just being a bit over sensitive. But if you're instincts turned out right and you were not really included you could have challenged what the problem was with those leaving you in the cold. This way you may never know and will feel more left out than if you had gone along to probably find it was a simple case of mis-communication and you are still part of the group?

Oh I know that they didn't do it deliberately...and that was a simple communication problem. What pissed me off though was that there was no effort to say "Oh well...we'll wait and you can come along with us..."

It resulted in me going out and getting stoshed (with my brother!!) - falling over a few times, making the room spin and then redecorating my room once again with a chicken curry I had once enjoyed.

Or simply refrain from the chicken curry...

I've recently found one of my "close" friends isnt really as good as a friend as i thought. she gossips with other friends about her other friends then completely shits on me and alienates me from the convorsation.
