Program Trouble

Well game trouble actually...
I first installed Pro Rugby Manager back in march and it worked perfectly well [the game was buggy, by the exe ran perfectly well), since doing a reinstall the game [and the demo] quit before even attempting the splash screen. I have contacted the developers but they, although being helpful haven't come up with anything.
Does anyone know of a good tool, to track what the program is trying to access just before it quits [i'm rying to work out what the conflict is]?
