This is one, apparently, or to be precise a "Viennese Apple Strudel". Can's say I find it particularly appealing looking...
EDIT: Looking at that Strudelland website I have to ask, why on earth would anyone put cheese and raisins together with puff pastry? It boggles the mind.

Maaan that looks good. Wish I was eatin' it right now.
Why oh why did I just waste my shopping budget on that bag of scumdrops?

What fascinates me is the hazing of boundaries between strudel, roulard, your classic "pie" and so on and so forth. Some of the desserts at Strudelland I would have classed as roulard. Is this some kind of globalisation of desserts?

To paraphrase the great Francis Fukayama, this really is "the end of roulard".
Strudel now has the entire global pastry-filled-sweet industry to itself.
It's shocking when you think about it, really.

I quite agree - I'd say it's just one example of post-modern empire. Or empie-er.
Shabang.
I'll go.
