This may seem like a silly question but I'm going to ask it anyway:

Is there any way of editing a PDF file?

All I want to do is cover up and area with a white box or preferably remove the text box.

I was wondering if there were any unofficial programmes that might be able to do the trick.

You can remove the box using the Acrobat (not the reader).

If the file is encrypted or has security applied to it preventing you doing it then you can't edit it.

I have Acrobat, so if you want to send the file then I wouldn't mind doing it for you. However, if the box is part of the document, and the document is an image (ie. printed from photoshop) then you can't edit it as it will appear all as one image, if you get my meaning.

PDFs are evil, and only liked by people who are themselves evil. I say we should rid the world of these things. And people.

They can be good and bad in my opinion.

What really gets on my nerves is when companies put documents up for download that have the same formatting on them as when they went to the printers. I was trying to print out a leaflet from the DSA, it was A4 folder 3 times style but it would only let me print 1 side a sheet and looked very messy.

On a separate note luckily Chris has managed to find a way round my problem so I'm sorted.
