Ho ho ho, this is amusing. Not hilarious, but worth a titter.
Completely accidently I stumbled across
http://www.metropol247.co.uk/chat again and it is still working by the looks of it. It was here a bit ago wasn't it?
Well that was a bit a shock.
Toodles,
Joel.

Yeh it's still there but the links to it have been removed.
Use it if you want, I plan to replace it with irc as part of a few changes coming up.

Why is IRC better?
I used it once before and found it really un-user friendly.

I don't have much experience with it myself but it would save bandwidth.
The current setup uses a fair bit I think, and the software isn't that good.
Ideally I'm looking for something more customisable than irc but more efficient than the current software.

yeah, don't like the current one - we need a proper chatroom like the old days of TVF Chat and not when it was the silly clique which ultimately contributed to its demise.

*yawn*
life's so unfair isn't it james, you must have so much on your mind ... what with the chatroom clique's repression and destruction of tvforum, GWR radio group's expansion ... oh and the demise of crossroads series 2
*gets out the worry beads*

I would start on you and Series 3 then, but there's a pot calling a kettle black over here...
