MSN Messenger 6.2

Now for a .2 something I would have thought it would have just added an emoticon or something, but I downloaded it and got a new MSN toolbar and links to MSNM and Hotmail, which I believe is quite useful, it also tells you if your Mobile contacts are offline but highlighted in yellow. But overall I am quite impressed with it, and it wasn't a big download too!
Anyone else downloaded it?

Yep. I quite like the new bits and bobs they've put in. I also like it more now MSN Messenger Plus! is now at Version 3.

Although at least it gives you the choice to install it unlike certain proggies.
.2 should have had "animated display pictures" which - although pointless - should have been a laugh.

Cheese Head, I have uninstalled Messenger Plus 3 ,due to spyware discovered on the software(free comes at a price)
The spyware is OPTIONAL. It does install the spyware UNLESS you agree to installing it in the setup screen.
The program itself is NOT spyware/adware.

When I used to have 6.0 I must have accepted the Spyware and I was permanently stuck with some blue bar on IE saying related searches or things that are "completely unsuitable". I reloaded my computer to find its gone, I only just updated Messenger Plus and theres a new one.

On my older PC I got a random blue toolbar on IE that just wouldn't piss off which my little sister had put there, despite denying it (whenever she goes on to use Messenger she comes off and the PC is shagged up in some way) and I just restored the registry to about a week ago and all was well with the world.
If you do install MSN+ just do not install the sponsor program as it is, indeed, Adware. I feel a bit bad doing it as the creator's put tons of effort into it but I just can't allow it to mess my PC up.

Yes, but I find that spyware fucking annoying. I can't count how many times I've instinctively clicked "I agree" and then ended up with this piece of rubbish. It's blatantly designed to be misleading. A *truly* optional adware would be something that says "Would you like adverts?" in BIG letters, so that the reader cannot miss it - but no, it's designed to look like a standard Terms and Conditions pane. I've seen LOP on so many computers as a result of this, and it happens to be one of the most difficult to eradicate.

Well chris it serves you right for getting spyware on your PC.
