I thought I'd bring back this thread. Here are a few photos of my local area which were taken a few weeks ago.

I'm not a very serious photgraphy, don't have the skills or the best equipment for it, but nevertheless it is something that that interests me, and something I have a go at.

Here are just two shots I took of the house. I quite like the top one with fairly good lighting, and the colour and composition of the tree. I got this made into a larger photo which is hanging up in the study.

Heres just a shot taken a little further down from Beechy Head when me a friend went for a weekend down there before exams started a few weeks ago.

Most will remember the snow we had a few months back. It got me three days off school. Just two shots taken by my house.

Whenever taking photos for a purpose such as a cover for my Drama performance portfolio or flier, I always attempt to get an interesting shot rather than a nice photo of all the cast. Lights also can come in handy if you have use of those, and changes can be made in Photoshop to make a photo a little more interesting.

And of course some photos are amazing thanks to the pure emotion communicated by his or her face ;)

Nothing amazing I admit, but I do try to think a little further beyond just point and click.

And this one is gorgeous, but the kid with three fingers scares me.

This is the closest I've got to a remotely artistic picture, apart from the time I took a picture of an Oxford college through some bikes. People looked at me strangely when I was laying on the floor doing that, so I stopped.

My proudest achievement of this picture was to capture a flea on the cat's left paw.

Why thank you. It's not often I have a chance to show my flea ridden pussy to people.

Well I feel most humbled that you have shared something of such delight and titilation with me.
