I like many English people aren't in a happy mood right now, but tonight, what can I say?? Beckham is so overrated, he's useless at penalties!!! Plus David James was good throughout the game but at the penalties it was utter shite. Plus that goal should not have been disallowed! Though I feel it is time for Beckham and for Sven to go IMO.

I'd feel more depressed if I was watching it on the BBC, I watched it on Eurosport.

Don't worry there's always World Cup 2006, Euro 2008, World Cup 2010, where it will probably happen. (again)

This is the *last* I'll have to hear about that bloody game. Euro 2004 has been irritating me no end and now the barbarians playing England are out, all of its airhead supporters will also shut up. You never know, they might quietly kill each other. Wouldn't that be a nice surprise?

Fucking bastard, he should have given free kicks in places, and he did not, the goal by Sol Campbell should have been allowed, it was not, and the other goal should have been used for the penalties due to the disintegrating pitch where they were, it was not.

Absolute fucking disgrace, UEFA has better review the match and dismiss that fucking referee, and hopefully someone will put a fist through his head tonight.

Normally I wouldn't say that but it isn't the first time that this has happened, it happened in the France game and I am certain it has happened in previous games before Euro '04, it's also the fact that he insists on taking them, taking the first one in the Penalty shoot out I wasn't bothered about, but during the game it can be incredibly annoying and can have bad consequences.

Though Owen's performance tonight was better than usual.

Can't beat watching a big match in the pub. The atmosphere was great. But silence at the end of the game today. Everyone left straight away and made their way home.

I can't understand anyone who can't get emotional when England play big games. There were all ages at Plymouth Yates's tonight. And everyone was loving it. And everyone felt the pain afterwards.

Has anyone that doesn't like football watched a big match in the pub?

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Portugese took penalties from the same spot.

Agree about the disallowed goal, but really England were played off the park tonight, and deserved to be beaten in the normal 90, they were camped in our half.

It's a shame, wonder how quickly the flags from the cars and bedroom windows will now disappear.
