Bluetooth instalation probs

I bought a TDK Bluetooth adaptor from Carphonewarehouse recently. Software all installed without a problem but I'm having dificulties installing the hardware itself. I've gone through the Windows wizard, taking both the install automatically and install from location routes, but both end up saying the drivers could not be found, hardware may not work correctly, etc etc.
Taking into account I am slightly hopeless when it comes to this sort of stuff, would anyone be kind enough as to spoon feed me how to get the sodding thing operational, lol.
Many thanks.

i have had this happen on a few driver installs.
when windows asks you to insert the driver cd, click browse and manally look through (and select/repeat if necessary) every folder on the cd where the driver is likely to be stored.
also, if that doesn't help, try downloading the drivers from the website and installing them that way.

This will prove how retartded I am, but how would I identify a driver. What's the end bit, lol - eg .doc or .wav - but obviously not those. I know that much

I can't find any files on the CD with that file extension. Is the CD dodgy or is/are their an alternative file extension(s) I could search for?

Does the CD itself not have an installer exe? Does windows when searching automatically find anything. Next bet is to type the make/model number into google and see what pops up.

i have the same bluetooth adapter and its a dick to install.
i followed the instructions, as you do, and got it working firs time round ... but after upgrading my OS, i couldn't be bothered, so shoved the couple of cds in and tried to install it like you would anything else - and it didn't work.
i think its a follow the instructions to the letter jobby, then you pair your devices, and away you go. but i just cant be arsed with it at the mo.
