I have to agree with Chris here. They do sound a bit repetitive, unlike other bands.

They're OK, can't say I'm a huge fan.
For genres, I'd stick them under the same genre as The Rasmus. Just some wannabe rock band that got too popular...

I liked it for the first month or so I heard it, then thats when it got over rated for me. I dont think Evanesence are spectacular, but they arnt crap either.

Gawd. The Rasmus are deeply terrible. When anyone puts "Scandinavia" and "rock" in the same sentence (they are Danish, aren't they?), I instantly think of the Armstrong and Miller creation "Strijka", a perfectly observed parody of people from that part of the world trying to "rock out" but getting it slightly wrong. A bit like The Hives.
As for Evanesence, however you spell it, just Linkin Park with a female singer, really, and I hate Linkin Park because I saw them at Leeds last year and they were complete pony bobbins. Therefore I don't like Evanesence either. Come on, work with the logic here.
