Can you fix these pictures?

I have a wee problem, that some pictures a friend took for me appear to have been corrupted, but I immediately thought of the talented bunch on Metropol.
Here are all the files uploaded - I would be extremely if anyone was able to fix them, and get them viewable.

Looking at the files in a hex editor shows that the files saved are effectively empty. All the hex values are set to 00 00 00 00, so theres not a lot you can do with that!

What media were the pictures orginally saved to?
Did you transfer them to camera to computer or remove the media (if any) and inster into a reader?
