Capture Card Problems.

My capture card is fucking up.
I cannot seem to get any sound out of it whatsoever.
Please help, Adam
P.S. It is a Pinnacle PCTV rave PAL.

Check connections? Check volume control for Line-In setting in the Windows Volume Control applet? Something else on the system using sound? (unlikely but you never know.) Software for capture card set to mute or low?

It is making the sound the same as when you are scanning through channels on a TV i.e. the really crackly noize.

ooo, I gots the same card. Check the little wire that connects from the cardto the sound are connected properly.

I thought it was pretty obvious. With the Pinnaccle PCTV Rave card, there is a little wire going from the TV Card to the sound card. Check its plugged in properly, and its not just touching the metal bit on it...
You can check if it works by unmuting the mic/line in in the volume control panel.
