it's nice to have if you partake in both fora.

True Sput, I believe there is a more relaxed atmosphere here about personal comments, and obviously it's not necessarily TV oriented;
although the Mods can strike with an iron fist when required, so woe-betide anyone crossing the theoretical "line in the sand".

We're supposed to be discussing BBC World? But don't you have to be in Orlando, Florida or Los Angeles or San Francisco or the Philippines in order to watch that?

Sadly not.

A cheap plastic satellite dish and generic digibox will allow you to receive BBC World and a load of other channels across the UK. You can get one of these satellite packs from places like Lidl or Aldi for about £50.

Just remember to point the dish at the right bit of sky and you can be pleasuring yourself to 'Putting News First' within 20 minutes.

There are probably many other channels on those satellites that would aid in pleasuring oneself

James Martin, as ever, maintaining an upmarket and sophisticated tone in the Big Brother thread.

Am I the only one glad that Vernon Kay's Gameshow Marathon is over, just so we don't have to endure Tumble Tower's incredibly tedious spelling out of old regional ITV jingles?
Here comes the LWT ident. Altogether now:
Lin-ga lon-ga lin-ga lon-ga dadada-daa dum dadadada dum dum

Followed by the infamous sig:
Dun-da-lee-dun da da-li da-la laa
Dun-da-lee-dun da da li la laa
Altogether now...

FUCK OFF.

Am I the only one that thinks they sound completely different to how he spells them? Or am I just reading them differently?

Ugh, this'll be the guy who actually dances along to boogie beebies? and he posted pictures of himself ( a grown man) at children's play areas on Digital Spy? I had a couple of run ins with him in his Boogie Beebies thread.

Look Spencer For Hire, the last eight weeks I've thoroughly enjoyed watching Vernon Kay's Gameshow Marathon, and no doubt plenty of other viewers have too.

During the course of each individual programme, I had a right to post comments about it didn't I? That includes my written attempt at the period ITV ident jingle (ATV, Central, Thames, LWT) at the start of part 2. If you didn't like my written ident jingle attempts, you could and should have just ignored them. Just like anything else you're not interested in.

OK Jovis, how would YOU have written out the jingle to the LWT ident? Can you do better than me? I'd like to see your written attempt at the LWT jingle, and also the other jingles (ATV, Thames, Central, HTV) that I've done.

Just for your information Spencer For Hire and Jovis, there is actually a website about written jingles. Here it is: The Shed - Written Jingles. I first discovered that site on Christmas Eve 2006. In other words, that site was around before I set up my thread "TV Jingles - Written Out" on Digital Spy Forums in February this year (my first time of posting my written attempts of TV ident jingles online), or posting applicable jingles during on the "Vernon Kay's Gameshow Marathon" thread of TV Forum during this year's run of Vernon Kay's Gameshow Marathon. Check out the said website, and see what you think.
