To me, it still seems ludicrous that you could have a reasoned discussion about anything by insulating opposing views from one another.
I couldn't possibly make a comment about the moderation as Rob was kind enough to create the second thread at my suggestion.
Funnily enough, if you only look at the "trouble with..." thread, there's still a fairly broad spectrum of opinion. Some like a particular exec producer, others don't; some liked the Slaters, others didn't.
The difference is that we don't have the contemptable Banks to deal with. Its as if its a normal thread without his presence.
Now that's what I call success!

Oh, quit it, already. I can't believe that this completely moronic argument - which quite frankly reads like it's been transplanted straight from a primary school playground - has spilled over from last night. Go and argue about Eastenders in whichever frigging Eastenders thread you want and leave the rest of us out of it, please.

You (pad and onetrickpony) are like a bunch of old women.
It's a bleedin' soap, for crying out loud.

Forgive me, Nick, but what's on BBC3 at 10?

I really can't see the purpose behind this silly argument. Especially when you see EastEnders and the like in the same way as I do...
EastEnders:
About 30 people, all of whom are millionaires or very nearly, poncing around on some dirty film set in Hertfordshire PRETENDING to be poverty-stricken cockneys.
Real life in East London is NOTHING like what's portrayed on EastEnders! If the BBC really wanted to make a realistic soap opera about the east end, then the cast would be nearly all ethnic minorities.
The same applies to Coronation Street, which is so disjointed from reality it's more of a sitcom set in the 1960s.
I also can't believe that so many people are avid soap watchers. Do they have such empty and meaningless lives that they need to live it through some overpaid actors spouting crap in a made up world where murder, death and infidelity is so unrealistically prevalent?
Weird!

Not this tired old argument. Who says the viewers have empty and meaningless lives, see it for what it is, a form of entertainment.
Everyone has spare time on their hands, they fill it with different interests. So they don't share yours, so what ?

Why can't you 2 ( Pad and Shaun) try and not get along well like Tvmercia and myself. He dosen't like what i have to say and i don't like that he doesn't like what i have to say but you don't see us dragging a disagreement out over several pages do you. Simply because he doesn't like talking to me, so he doesn't. so, if you can't bear talking to Shaun Pad, why do you respond to him? If you don't like him just ignore him. It's easy done.
For what it's worth, if i have anything positive or negative to say about Eastenders i will probably use the " Trouble with EE" thread if that's where everyone else is posting. I think i did post something positive-ish the other day. Someone responded saying they hoped i was joking, but i haven't read that thread for the past few days.

Peace?

Why do you have to be so public about your differences. Someone clearly needs to re-introduce you to the PM system.
