Regarding the 2021 predictions thread, I can’t work out if people are posting ridiculous or weird stuff as a laugh or if they are being serious

It's a real case of Poe's Law for some of the posts in that thread. I'd say it's a mixture of some (largely older) members taking the piss and some (predominantly younger) members being painfully earnest while not understanding the distinction between prediction and wishes based off of little understanding of branding or the television industry.
