Big My Local in Cheltenham today was all closed with a "thank you for your custom" sign on the shutters. Sad to see them to.

Was a bit odd inside through the shutters though with all the stock and shelving already gone!!

Netto v2 is to close. JS have pulled the plug allegedly as the project needs 50 stores and they can't afford both that investment and Argos.

Dansk aren't going to go it alone, and I can't say I blame them - Brexit could properly screw things up for them.

A shame though, decent little shops this time around.

I was surprised it went beyond the initial trial to be honest - but I have to say the store has been much busier in recent months.

I wonder if the stores have a future within the expanded JS group as Sainsbury's Local and/or Argos? My expectation was that things would go the other way - and JS would move Argos outlets in to nearby supermarkets and use some of the leftover sites as Netto or Sainsbury's Local.

The Netto collapse has caused problems for a charity that feeds the homeless.

And mayhem as everything comes down to half price.

Well that story definitely required that video report.

I spy a fair few Aldi bags in those images.

A look round BHS Surrey Quays. Note the unloved WHSmith style carpet.

Unless I'm mistaken, there's still some BHS stores out there with the logo BEFORE the one that store has- where the H is multicoloured!

It's like Marks and Spence circa 1987.

How can you remember 1987? You still think it's 1953.

To be fair to BHS, reviewing the store by commenting on the density of stock on the shop floor and the way it is displayed whilst they are in admistration sale mode is a bit pointless.

Like going into Woolworths the day before they closed and saying, no wonder they are closing there was hardly any stock on sale.
