Which gives me the perfect lead-in to highlight the following:

My only criticism is the lack of more members in the list.

"I joined... the tribe of Jesus Christ and in that tribe all are welcome." - Archbishop of York.

Woah....is John Sentamu saying that the BNP are welcome into the tribe of Jesus?

Er...no... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7880313.stm

He appears to be discriminating against discriminators.

Hooray for the self-contradictory, pathetic piety of organised religion.

This worries me. I don't know why the attacker has done this; I know I certainly wouldn't feel satisfied having done this to anyone - I definitely wouldn't have the moral high ground.

What an absolute idiot. Really - what makes it acceptable to do this? BNP or no BNP we're all people with feelings and I certainly wouldn't go round smashing someone in the face with a hammer just because I happened to disagree with their views.

Oh, had you been around me a few years ago... poor guy, didn't even see it. Nothing fatal though getting sideswiped with a rubber hammer can leave a nasty bruise.

I'm just not sure what the guy's intention was. I mean this sort of attack only wins sympathy for the BNP, and further entrenches their views in the minds of their members. Still guess there have to be idiots on both sides of the spectrum.

Hmm. Not sure what to make of this Merseyside Police story, as I can see both arguments. There's the 'sacked for political beliefs' aspect', which shouldn't really happen, but I see the 'race relations' argument too.

Yes I noticed that when one of those came through our door the other day, it went into the recycling shortly afterwards. UKIP also had a one with some dodgy car salesman type pretending to be an MEP candidate.

Ronnie is victorious, vivacious in victory like a venomous dog. Vile Republicans cease living while the religious retort with rueful rhetoric. These rank thugs resort to violence and swear revenge.

But Ronnie can punch through steel so they lose anyway.
