Sainsbury's Local also add a premium to some products. The point is that Tesco don't have any supermarket prices at their One Stop stores, while the Express stores have a range of products at supermarket prices, mainly staples such as bread and milk.

I think both JS and Tesco have a 'within M25' and a 'Central London' price tier too.

The normal Sainsburys and Tesco stores within the M25 charge exactly the same as in the rest of the country. Tesco use Metro and Express and Sainsbury's use Local to bump up prices in central London (Metro in Uxbridge are the same as a normal Tesco) although again, the prices in the Tottenham Court Road Local are the same as in outer London.

The Tesco Metro format is still very much ongoing. This Cardiff store opened within the last 2 or 3 years:

I didn't realise Metros were so rare - what used to be my nearest store was one, and fairly recently got new signage (on blue rather than on white).

Incidentally, this branch is on the street where Jack Cohen opened his first market stall.

Not far away in Bow, they've just opened a vanilla Tesco - from the exterior photos it looks like a Metro, but apparently it's over 25,000 sq ft, which I'd imagine it more like supermarket territory. The site used to be a Safeway, but (bringing it back on topic) Morrisons decided it wasn't big enough for their operating model, so it lay empty for a few years before redevelopment.

Someone claiming to work for the company that manufactured the sign has said on Twitter, the logo is meant to represent corn.

Funny that they've trialed it at the Merrion store seeing as that one still had the 70s signage on it until quite recently. So didn't have a change of signage in nearly 35 years, then had 2 in less than a decade!

Match & More points are changing - the comparison part of it is being dropped altogether, and the customer will instead earn 5 points for every pound spent. Which means (half of) the name makes no sense any more.

In terms of earnings rate, it's the same derisory ½p in every £1 that JS offer through Nectar.
