According to the radio this morning, this ad was largely shot in Edinburgh. The man wrapping the candlesticks was filmed at Standard Life's old offices in Tanfield - and it was at the hight of summer (July), so hoses and wind machines were used to make it look like, er, normal weather in Edinburgh.
