Well I never, I thought that was a joke for a second. I wonder if this is a trial for the new logo/branding before a wider rollout.
You can tell they're aiming for a more rustic sort of look, I guess in the hope of looking a little more upmarket. But the logo looks a bit busy and I'm not sure it'll look great when shrunk down, for example on food packaging. I don't think keeping the existing dark green/yellow colour scheme really fits in with that 'look' either.

I suspect like all Morrisons decisions of recent years that it's too little, too late.
Bring on the merger with one of the big four.
