I was given to understand plastic wrappers encourage mould in bread, where waxed paper does not.

I don't buy the small toastie pack because the slice size is proportionate to the length of the loaf and is too small for the contents I want to wrap (or sandwich, if you will).

I regret I cannot give it any more consideration tonight. I have an interview in the morning and want to look as fresh as a loaf did in the 70s.

I will also be packed with chemicals to acheive this.

After allowing the superior bread conversation to pass by and dwelling on my thoughts for all of 5 minutes, I think the only confectionery I would like to see return is vice versas and nestle secret bars. Both of them made by nestle who tend to make some of the worst, most unrefined chocolate ever.
As such, I don't think I really want them to return at all and I'll just look back at them remembering the hot summers of my youth and enjoy the finer chocolate that has finally graced the chocolate market.

Never mind the Warburtons, I'm currently enjoying a Greggs Chicken Club bagette. Its really very nice.

I have a confection in the fridge for later. A vanilla slice. They haven't changed much in years.

Quite the opposite, I love Warburton bread - especially toastie/super toastie, but now I'm married so it would seem any chance of eating white bread has gone out of the window! I just enjoy fresh bread from my bread maker now - maybe a little more expensive, but you can't beat fresh bread and by the sounds of things, it isn't outlasted by the soggy brand name bread either now!

Apparently so. Even having eaten white bread from being a student up to being 28 with no ill-effect, it's apparently bad for you (and gives you a belly). Now, approaching 30 and fighting the belly, maybe she's right! I have managed to keep hold of white rice and pasta though, so it's not all bad!
I actually don't begrudge it too much, I've found wholemeal bread to be far tastier - we add seeds to our loaves too for added interest. There are some things which white bread is far superior for - toast, chicken mayo sandwiches, baguettes etc, but for general consumption I've started to find it a bit bland!
