Am I the only one getting increasingly annoyed at the plethora of "List to a rythym adverts" at the moment. McDonalds seemed to start them but now the News of the World is doing it for their football ads.
urgh

Not sure what you mean. Could you elucidate?
Tell you what grinds my gears just now - the BT ad for 118 500.
"Tandori Nights curry house... yep.. on the High Street".
Aye right. High Street where? It is India he's speaking to, after all.

Why didn't you just use google?
That's my basic question to anyone using a directory enquiries service

Its really rare for me to use a 118 service - a dreaded last resort. Have you ever tried to remember the number because you haven't got a piece of paper but don't want to pay the connection charge? I have. Not easy, especially when they start prattling,"is there any other number I can provide you with today? No? Thanks for using 118 whatever..." - and you hang up and are like, "fuck, what was that number?"
This ad has been on for a while - I might even have mentioned it in this very thread; but believe me I harrumph and tsk each time I see it.

The Slim Fast horrifyingly awful "Stand-up routine" advert makes me hate all of mankind

The advert for the Ryvita Breakfast Cardboard is infuriatingly irritating. The amount of times the girl says the word 'Breakfast' in her annoyingly patronising voice simply adds to the horror.

My god, have you seen the Norton Finance advert? It's hilarious! It's supposed to make us feel sad/angry/annoyed about the fact that most of us have debt whilst reminding us that life is just one big rollercoaster - by putting these quite glum people on a rollercoaster ride, who all look like their emotion was removed beforehand. You have to wonder why they bothered going on the ride... but the golden part is at the end where you see some bloke who looks quite pleased with himself who was also on the ride (i.e. huge cheesy grin). One can only imagine that he was told to "look normal", and tried his best to.
There are no uploads of it anywhere yet, but it's been on Five quite a lot so I'll look out and see if I can get some caps.

Are Norton Finance the ones who used to have a phone number ending 858 858?
Ours ended the same for a while, till we had to have it changed to get rid of all the sad buggers ringing up and asking for a loan.
