Which begs the question - why return as "James Martin". It would be perfectly easy to slip back into the community as an anonymous poster if you just kept your posts toned down; why bother with the battle?

Pubs for food, clubs for drinking, for the lower prices.
Anyone see last week's Relocation Relocation on Channel 4, that's where I tend to eat.

During the week, a few "down the local" is very nice.
I'd say I've used the clubs less since the drinking laws changed. IMO, you go to a pub to socialise over some bevvies. You go to a club to dance (badly) or pull.
If I had to chose, it'd be the pubs.

Every weekday lunchtime I go in a complete shytehole of a pub, won't name it on here for legal reasons

.
The problem is alot of traditional pubs are being sold of by modern chain owners (Weatherspoons, Yates, etc.), knocked down & replaced by fucking flats.
This grand old pub in Ilford/Seven Kings is under used.
The Cauliflower, IG1
Unfortunately it's a bit run down, also due to H&S rules

only the ground floor is used by patrons so most of it is used except for staff members. It's a listed building so should be safe from developers but money talks, etc.

Ah, I meant club as in "British Legion" or "Liberal Club"; none of that pole dancing stuff, unless you REALLY insist, James.

Oh thats surprised me, i always imagined you proped up the bar drinking until closing time.
Is anyone from the Anglia region (West)? Village Inn was on the tv yesterday, well thats where i drink.
And my final part on drink tonight.....Rounds! Do you buy a round, is there always someone who manages to bag free drinks, or do you just get drunk before you've even entered the pub.
Many of you may or may not be aware that im from Corby. I am a part time cleaner at a pub, which looks like its still stuck in the 80s. Went there twice to drink, its very much as they make out on the TV (I'm thinking Shameless).

Do you have a £££ limit. Whenever i ask for a vodka and lemonade, its always single, never double.

I suspect the intervening post will have clarified that matter.

Depends on what everyone else's £££ limit is, really.

Yes in the pub we go to at lunchtimes but they have really stupid prices, for example a large coke is £1.01, where the fuck the 1p comes into I have no idea but alot of the drinks in the pub finish in odd numbers rather than 0 & 5
