Round here there are quite a few on beer, Wadworth's 6X or IPA.
I avoid all such beverages and stick with the dark grape.
I did try some Old Hooky (possibly a product of Arkell's) whilst down your parts, didn't like it at all mind.
I find lager more refreshing than bitter or ale. That said, I would say that I do not enjoy British lagers like Carling at all. I much prefer the stuff of the Continent, especially San Miguel, Amstel, or Grolsch.
The only British lagers (IIRC) are Skol, Carling & Hoftmiester (now discontinued). Skol is the best one out of that lot in the fact that it's weak as piss but doesn't taste that bad so you could knock back six cans on a hot summer day & not get pissed

Do you need the number for Childline?
No no, I'm a teenager now, I can deal with it.
He's not mad really.

I like a bitter shandy and a cold lager in the summer. My fave draught tipple is a guiness.

Ah, so you really ARE Maxwell in disguise!
(It's a VERY old joke, Johnny, don't worry about it.)

Nevertheless, it was GLORIOUSLY executed, Nick! I was trying to pull it off myself (boom boom) but failed.

Staying with drink. How many of you still drink in the traditional British pubs, or tend to go to a bar/club instead?

I hate Guiness.
An acquired taste methinks, the Black stuff.
Very intresting article there on British lagers. They'd be fine apart from them all being piss-weak.
Beck's is another favourite of mine. Very nice drink when bottled and very cold.
