Can someone explain to Declan how the internet works.
There's quite a lot of people who believe this, not based on the name, but because the Arabic channel used to get regularly featured on western news programmes as being the exclusive source of videos from the various terrorist groups based in the middle east.Critique wrote:Why would you tell everyone that you thought Al Jazeera was a terrorist spotlight based on name alone? Surely you wouldn't share that with everyone?!At first, i thought it was a spotlight for Terrorists
Three more tedious pages of irrelevant US local news coverage in the London Live thread, each post ending with a brief mention of LL in order to imply that the thread is being kept on topic. The conversation has been described as "interesting" which is surprising given that it's not.

The discussion I think is valid for TVF but often in the wrong place, It sparked fairly interesting debate regarding the origins of certain innovations in TV news & differences in approach between US / UK.
Mouseboy makes interesting & enthusiastic contributions but would be better with a dedicated 'US v UK News' type thread rather than taking the Weather thread or the London Live thread off course to the annoyance of other members.

Getting rather worried about Barney99's obsession with Sarah Jane Mee in the Sky News rota thread

Oh Crickeys just realised my old website is still there!
I am definitely not a smut git either
it's Jon and Cando they are getting on my nerves they seem to have a god given right to think they are right they been at it for months now, tv forum for me now is a very uncomfortable place for me to post, it feels claustrophobic knowing I'm going to be attacked by these two.

The mods seem to be very ban happy these days if you even try and stand up for yourself on there. I've been banned twice in the space of 2 months for telling certain people what I actually think. It's all becoming a bit North Korea these days.
Certainly agree about Jon, he's a smarmy shit, obviously he's never been in a fight before going by the way he speaks to people at times..

Gary McEwan over @ TVF
Shame really Jon is an intelligent man, but always want to think he's right and if he sees someone who dosent agree with his point of view then he's on the attack with smarmy reply, it's a shame really I am seriously thinking about quitting my membership of tv forum now I had a good time on it learned a lot and communicated with some great people but people move on and my passion for tv presentation is probably not as strong as it used to be.
