I was hoping we'd reach 9.25 before it started but no, 20 pages of decent pres chat ruined

Thinking ahead........ Is it just me or does anyone think that Fridays will be bad? John/Kate/Ranvir/Sean do you think it will work with them four?

Also if Suzanna is off, I personally think Charlotte should replace her and Ranvir replacing her. Kate should be use as last resort.

I notice the post is still up however.

The mods get a hard time over at the site, but I do wonder why there aren't more of them who can more actively moderate. And it's not like there is a page listing 'the moderating team', and if there is it's not too easy to find it.

On a positive note I really liked today's special homepage - allowing you to see how many unread posts there are on today's main topic was really well done and I hope we'll see more of that in the future, such as Eurovision.

What annoyed me was I had actually read and enjoyed 20 pages of that thread, having only really seen about 20 mins of the show. And then that appeared and all the disappointment of the past few years reappeared.

I wonder if there's not a proper Moderation Control Panel (ala phpBB) any more, and perhaps the mods have to do some stuff a bit manually? I dunno - a possible reason for their reluctance. I don't really see how they can argue their coverage is adequate though - as an example it took a good 48 hours for a recent report of mine to be actioned.

Ha, was just about to post this. It's like you've been virtually branded! (and not in the TV way)

I'm giving up on the GMB thread now, most of the last page has been about stand ins for stand ins. WHO FLIPPIN' CARES  It's a shame we can't discuss presentation on a presentation forum any more without the rota cretins spoiling everything :(

oh I know, the chat about Charlotte and the fact she does appear to be a spare wheel, and whether or not to fire Richard Arnold into the sun I can deal with but "oh who is going to cover when blah blah" who frickin cares.

Another thread RUINED.

Let me guess. Are the perpetrators the "new members"?

It's not new members as such no, it's a distinct subset of members who obsess over the tedious issues of rotas and then insist on forcing their nonsense into every other thread possible and taking it to extremes. Some have been around for years, others are not so much.

We've always had a bunch of muppets appear during the school hols on TVF, however they've generally just been irritating and a bit post happy / clueless / overexcitable rather than deeply hideous like the rota freaks.
