There's an interesting theory on slashdot that it's basically a business trick by Microsoft, and one that they've used before. Here's how it goes: they never actually planned to make it in the first place, they just wanted to make people delay buying the iPad because something more suitable for them is around the corner.
Less evil than apple? Perhaps not.
And slag off the iPad all you like, the fact they brought it to market makes it intrinsically better.
Apple iPad
So now the iPad is imminently for release in the UK nothing like a bit of thread zombieing...
I'm trying to make up my mind if I want the iPad Wifi or the iPad 3G. there's quite a big price difference between the two and I'm put off by the annoying selection of plans.

However you do also get unlimited Openzone use, and if you live in a city you're bound to only be a few minutes walk from an Openzone area. There's at least 50 each in Edinburgh and Glasgow and many hundreds in central London. Add that to home WiFi, internet on trains etc and you're not exactly going to be using too much 3G internet.Hymagumba wrote:The 3G has both, the wifi is wifi only. But then the plans are poo.
