I won't be voting until this evening.
Unfortunately I'm registered at my mums house, so I'm gonna have to go there later and pick up my voting card. Then I have to go to the polling station which is the cricket pavilion in my village which is always staffed by the same old nosy bag who loves to know your personal business and gossip. I shall make my mark and make a quick exit.
I'll be voting in the Welsh Assembly election. I have the choice of Conservative, Labour, LibDem or Plaid Cymru.
None of the candidates seem particularly worthy of my vote and it'll be a cold day in hell before I ever vote for the nationalists, so I guess my vote will be going blue. Again.

Don't know what it is about them, but it seems there's quite a lot of people in the Westcountry who vote Lib Dem.

Haha, well i would watch but i'm totally confused i might give it a miss. I totally understand the general election but all the talk about councils, AMs, MSPs Brown, Blair BANG - my heads exploded 
Although it's gonna be quite a historic (the most over-used journalistic word EVER) night, it will never have the same drama and entertainment value as a general election.
Was it just me who watched Mandy's "IM A FIGHTER AND NOT A QUITTER" rant from behind the sofa?

Scottish and Welsh independence issues aside, the only result I'm interested in from a local election is knowing who my local councillors are, and which party is in charge of the council - for me, it will be interesting to see if somebody will get overall control as opposed to the current Labour-Lib Dem power share.
I voted for my incumbent Lib Dem councillors, if only for the fact that they actually seem to have done things for the area and keep us informed of local issues with a nice little newsletter, as opposed to the previous, invisible Labour pair (who, it had to be said, weren't very Labour-like at all; one in particular was a power-hungry, racist old bat who is standing as an independent candidate today - I sincerely hope she doesn't get elected, for personal reasons).
The real dilemma as to who will get my vote will be at the next general election - but there's a while to go there yet.

In Scotland SNP got the most seats 47, Labour got 46. The Lib Dems have said they will refuse to join the SNP on the independance vote.
It'll be interesting to see 1) If they do have an independence vote 2) when, a few months, a year?
