It's pleasing to see that the MasterChef thread has been allowed to continue over the past week or so. From what I've seen posts have remained primarily presentation related, probably as by now users know that admin/mods would understandably clamp down on any discussion around the allegations.
It's refreshing to see a lighter touch of moderation being used, as it's allowed for some interesting discussion. A slight contrast to previous threads that have involved the likes of Edwards and Schofield, where moderation was seemingly on the heavier side, or at least it was a lot more noticeable.

I suppose the two other examples were quite different - both had swathes of speculation prior to their official naming, and both
initially involved an age disparity and power imbalance that wasn't necessarily illegal. Gregg Wallace has been keen to publicly discuss the allegations in his case, and there was little speculation in the build-up, and it's clear this involves situations that have legal aspects from the outset.
And there's less chance of homophobic remarks in the Gregg Wallace case, of course.

At least it's not like DS where people have been blaming the sackings on "woke" and "you can't say or do anything any more". The thread on John Torode had been HEAVILY pruned this morning.
The good old pre-woke days when you could be a racist or a sexual pest without consequences, eh?

Anyone not from the UK in here? I'm over here in the states but getting a cloudflare block on every device I use each with a different IP. Wondering if potentially they are blocking all non UK IP ranges?

I live in neither the UK nor the U.S., and I can't access Pres Café either.

On the forum, the Admin has said that due to “technical/security reasons”, Pres Cafe has been restricted to “certain geographic locations for the foreseeable future”.

Does it have something to do with the recent cancellation announcement of
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert?

I get the geoblock message if I try to access the forum with the Pixel VPN turned on - it doesn't let you choose your geographic region but I thought usually gave you an IP in the country you're actually in.

I get a cloudflare block page when visiting pres.cafe. I don't think I specifically have been blocked, as this happens from both my home connection, and on mobile data.
Is anyone else having this issue? I gather something is misconfigured re. CloudFlare.

I wonder if the admins here will create a shelter for Pres Café users outside the UK and Ireland.
