I could just about live with that ad if it didn't have the obese douche from every - other - fucking - advert.Chie wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w62gsctP2gc
These guilt-trip adverts are getting tedious now. I don't like the new NHS stop smoking ads either.
Adverts that irritate and entertain
I see "leeedull" or Lidl as everyone else calls it, are now advertising on TV. I wonder if they've been losing ground to Aldi.
Meanwhile I am currently annoyed by the dreadful advert with the man with karaoke on his shirt and the other awful one "wash your room wash it with febreeze".

"He has to be larger than bacon"
They've been advertising in the Central West area since 2006. Their PowerPoint style ads are bad and "Leeeeedull" is their name, apparently.Hymagumba wrote:I see "leeedull" or Lidl as everyone else calls it, are now advertising on TV. I wonder if they've been losing ground to Aldi.
Lee-dull adverts have been running, at DFS levels of appearing-in-every-sodding-break, on UTV for years - since I left Norn Irn in 2004, at least.

The co-operative voiceover guy is starting to seriously do my head in, telling me "There's nothing like a nice stirfry", "At the end of the day, there's nothing like a curry", and "There's nothing like a nice gammon roast".
The curry one annoys me most as they don't even tell you what type of curry it is, other than a "delicious sauce" and you should serve it with "riiiice". He's got such a whiny voice.
I think they're on the gammon ones now, but I still have to mute every time. Plus, no co-op I've ever been in has seemed like a "great deal locally".

Most 'Co-operative' shops are operated by regionalised societies so I do not see the point of trying to advertise them all as a whole when they all look so different.scottishtv wrote:Plus, no co-op I've ever been in has seemed like a "great deal locally".
However the main 'The Co-operative Food' people are trying to convince these societies to adopt the new national branding (think ITV), many (incuding The Southern Co-operaives, my local society) have adopted it albeit very loosely.
Back to the adverts, I love The Co-operative Food adverts mainly because the background music is brilliant. I would be very grateful if anyone could share a copy (please though, without the lyrics on top of it), thank you!

Liverpool Hope University. Never mind if you haven't got anything to say, just make up some absolute shit and put it on tv.
