I doubt it, he's only been interested in TV Pres since January, it's The Bill that's his forté.

SWatson7:

Isn't there something annoying about some 6-post n00bie starting his posts with "what you have to remember [about TV Ratings] is..." - to BREKKIE of all people! Brekkie, as we all know, seldom needs to be reminded of anything.

After post 4, SWatson7 was informing members they have a bad and unwelcoming attitude to new members [him], not before educating us all that "the point of Daybreak was the windows in the set.... 'see the day break'" - GEDDIT?!?!

Probably my imagination. I'm sure by post 10 everyone will be in love with him.

I'm very close to being done with the place. Not enough to deactivate my account, but enough not to bother wading into arguments or attempt to stifle stupidity from breaking out.

That was the view I came to a couple of years back now. Better to put the energy in your right arm into lifting a wine glass than typing serious comments that go straight over the heads of ninety percent of the users there.

Strictly cider in this weather Lord H. Being of Somerset stock myself apparently, it's something I must do to honour my forebears.

The bbc.co.uk thread is SO FUCKING BORING.

Seriously, do people *really* need to post every time some poxy page changes its header to something slightly different?

I completely agree, rightok32 seems to hate any website that isn't using the new style.

Well they DO keep changing it piecemeal. Every time a new header gets to be fully rolled out they go tinkering again. I'm sure you can see how that could be irritating to the type of soul that frequents TVF.

On another note, I hope you can all allow me to indulge in a bit of a tantrum. Nobody's replying to my posts! During periods when I'm bored and not particularly busy I tend to return to TVF and start to actually care about it, tragically. This generally happens about once or twice a year. Anyway, yesterday I wrote quite a lengthy post about BBC News branding in the Breakfast thread, in response to one of Brekkie's opinons-stated-as-fact. Admittedly nothing particularly new or that would set the world alight but mildly interesting and provocative of debate, I thought. As it turns out I was wrong. It's been summarily ignored. Nobody gives a shit!

Or maybe it was just a dull post. Meh

I'd already been wound up by Brekkie determining that the BBC news look was "dated" and that the weather graphics are fine, now that he thinks they're fine*.

So I was on the edge of wading in and shouting when you posted.

For the record, and actually as it will probably have more impact here - you are right, the BBC News virtual newsroom is not dated, and is about to look fantastic when they go from a rendered backdrop to the long-awaited real thing. To change looks now they have the building finished would be the most illogical thing in the world - its a fucking stupid suggestion that only a gonk would come up with. The whole point of the barco backgrounds would be completed wasted.

Instead of 100 people rising up to challenge that poppycock, the conversation inexplicably moves on to some obtuse piece of flotsam, and some twit will come along and say something stupid only to have another twit say, "Yes, you're exactly right!", and you wonder why you bothered being on a press site and not lolcatsdotfuckingcom.
