I don't think we would get sued.

Pad, Safari screws everything up, it's awful. I wouldn't worry about it for the time being.

Quite, but I'm on a Mac. I have Firefox too but by default use Safari because it's sexier. Firefox 3 is as sexy (in other words a Safari clone) so I may switch but I thought for the benefit of anyone else who uses it I'd mention it!

Stop trying to claim credit you annoying pest. I'm barely tolerating your return without the added annoyance of JRothwell levels of smugness.

Standards have improved with v3 haven't they? Or am I thinking of something else?

Nevertheless, for the sites I visit I seldom have many issues that annoy me to the point where I have to fire up FF. If I'm testing a site or something, then obviously, but then you have to get on a PC and dust off Internet Explorer 6- then the nightmares begin!

Apart from those login issues this new design is rendering flawlessly as far as I can see.

I'd be perfectly in favour of sites not supporting IE6 any more, were it not for the fact that I am forced to use it from time to time. Some sites are already beginning to offer limited support, though.

Is it just me who finds browsing in IE6 about 50% slower at rendering complex pages (esp. Metropol) than every other browser?

No, me too. Even sites with little to them, all it takes is a bit of AJAX for it to get confused and do it totally wrong.

I suppose the only way is site-specific stylesheets and things like that but it's still a pain in the arse. That said, hopefully it shouldn't be too much longer before enough people aren't using it to not care anymore.
