None of these operations are at all able to deal with any spikes in demand. DPD are generally better but like the rest they screwed up last Christmas, taking almost a month to deliver a package (from being logged as in their system to delivery) with plenty of "tomorrow" promises.

After HDNL left an Xbox 360 I had purchased as a Christmas present for my girlfriend in the bottom of a wheeley bin in a yard overlooked by several tightly packed terraced houses, I told Amazon a while ago that I would stop using them unless all future deliveries were fulfilled by Royal Mail or Parcelforce.

UKmail are the worst in my view, two "morning" deliveries not delivered till 4pm, two times they've claimed we were out when we were definitely not, and once they claimed they couldn't find my flat despite it being VERY obvious.

Is this the place to mention that Kate Middleton has been re-branded as The Duchess of Cambridge?

If that's the case, then I best inform you all that a man in a nearby village branded his herd of cows just the other day.

Except for viewers in Scotland, who get The Countess of Strathearn instead.

And viewers in Norn Iron, who get Baroness Carrickfergus.

That's actually not bad.

Not sure it would actually convince me to go into one, mind.

Still waiting for the Heston style restaurants to be introduced before I even consider going into one. THEN they need some serious marketing to get people to see how the place has changed.

Ah, little chef, the only place I've ever seen bacon fried in slow-motion.
