... Which builds the progression from Version 1.0 - Awful, V2.0 - Merely passable, although not an improvement, and V3.0 - Brothel.

Can I just say, the Regional Pres Desks thread is one of the nicest threads going on the site of late.

There seems to be no little sniping or the words 'Daybreak' and 'mock' in it, and also lots of knowledgable people coming out of the woodwork offering fascinating, insightful information.

I see people are making the most of the school holidays in the mocks forum. Roll on september.

Indeed. I'm 'loving' the question 'So what would happen if ITV launched a news channel ... ' in the mocks thread. It's only been six years.

itvfan's "mock" of an ITV News studio is just a studio someone else has made but with a Lightwell backdrop added and a couple of changed colours - something that takes roughly a minute and also is stealing someone else's hard work. I don't normally comment on these mocks, as ones I have made in the past are a little rough around the edges too, but this guy is just ridiculous.

Think I've learnt my lesson about pointing these mockers towards new materials. Christ, what a joke.

I spotted that as well. You posted a great (and original!) N6 mock , yet it instantly gets buried in the deluge of crap that he posted. Hopefully school starts soon, and then he'll be gone.

Thankyou jsm. They're impossible, and it's almost a waste of time posting - because all they are are slightly weird 13 year olds, and all they want is their arse licking every time they post a mock because their mum said it was good yesterday, so that means everyone else should too. As everyone says, September can only come sooner.

Maybe reinstating the design challenge would help? It seemed to be working well, until it got somewhat...abstract.

I think some things just call for reinstating banning

New annoyance: boyercam. Reposting old stuff and bumping topics, as well as responding to topics in a not-so-helpful way.
