When did they get rid of the system where you could see who a PM was from and delete it without bothering to read it?

I was confronted with a million word essay from Tumbly Wumbly, the Big Fat Phoney. Think it was about testcards on Freeview, but I didn't have a week-and-a-half to spend reading it, so deleted it anyway.
There is an annoying bug that means once you've been notified of (and have read) one message, it then tells you that there's TWO messages awaiting your attention. This goes away only when you click through to your inbox.

Most peculiar.

I notice BFP has managed to ignore my suggestion of his fraudulence.

This suggests to me that I was bang on the money.

Can anyone help me find the "Sorry" I'm quite sure Chie meant to say to BreakingNews in this quote please?

Is it just me that barely uses the TVF private messages system? On my four pages of mail, half of them are from people bugging me for beds and underscores I haven't had in while, or things from TVF saying I've got a warning for telling 'ginofish' to invest in a dictionary, and that I don't have the list of all ITV News voiceovers; or that I shouldn't call someone a twonk.

The "This Morning" thread over on the other place makes me want to bang my head off a breezeblock wall.

Couldn't agree more.

I did my best to get it locked by replying to it.

The sadministrator normally locks all threads I reply to but he must have been busy looking into another poorly coded update at the time.

Because the Christmas episodes are recorded in June.

I'm getting very cheesed off with Steve K's postings.

They often come across to me as petulant and patronising - being a teacher is no excuse for the tone he has taken in particular threads (the now-locked This Morning one and atm, the Friendly TV incident), even if other contributors in the same thread deserve to be treated for the children they potentially still could be.

And don't get me started on the SPG issues...

Please remember he is also a moderator on another forum although he tends to keep this to himself.

The people over on TVF that get on my nerves are the ones who start boasting their knowledge of tv to show off to other members, and then start spreading their utter rage of a slight change to the Sky logo. There is a huge, I think 50 page argument about the slight refresh.

The point is that TVF is full off too many irate logo/presentation obsessives. "The new sky logo is awful, rounding it is not a good idea". WHO CARES?! IT'S EXACTLY THE SAME!!!!! It's like a tedious game of Spot the difference.

Then there's also the users who speak as though they actually run the stations (ginofish, Tumble Tower), planning out what presenter rotas could occur, when noone really gives the toss.

It's people like them who are letting the forum down, hence why I personally never bother to post there. Plus, I'm already a regular member on 2 other TV related forums, that, even though one certain individual has a bitter vendetta on both of them, seem alot more calmer and enjoyable than TVF.
