I'm beginning to wonder whether steddenm (with his bizarre fake corrie poster) is actually Dr Joe Hazard in disguise.

Politanlink Poster

This is a fictional poster for the Coronation Street storyline. The Politanlink company does not exist, neither does Nightingale Row tramstop or the Weatherfield Wayfarer bus. © 2010 ITV Studios Ltd. This lower section of the poster is not to be in public view.

What a pity they couldn't even be bothered to spell Altrincham correctly.

I note that aforesaid gentleman's company is being re-named Neon Media.
And there was me thinking Anthony Alldritt had the copyright on that particular name.

Is anyone else not seeing any messages posted since around 6.30pm last night over there when you click on each forum index page?
You only see new replies if you log in.

Same here, Col, I think.
Can't see any posts since 18:27 on the 4th (Newsroom).
But can't get it to give me the Login page either, so can only assume there are later posts.

Should be ok now, thanks for flagging it. Users not logged in get a cached version which wasn't updating. Not sure about the login problem though Nick, does the page error or not load? Can't you login via the homepage or

Cheers, Asa

From the SCD thread:

Its not even an essay, its mostly a transcript of the programme. Quite why tumble thinks viewers of the show (surely the only people reading this thread) would need it is beyond me - I have mentioned this to him, but as ever, he has no interest in any view but his own.
It's A bad case of Aspergers. Unbearably bad.
I wonder if Asa could build us a "Tumble Tower tag", working like the Spoiler tags - whenever Tumble Tower posts an essay, the forum automagically wraps the whole post in [TT] [/TT] tags, and when viewed it gives you a "Another unbearably long Tumble Tower rant follows, click
here if you're absolutely sure you want to read it." message instead of the post?

I know I'm on a short fuse at the moment, but he really takes me to my limit.
I can imagine him hunched over his keyboard bashing away with his tongue poking out, transcribing his Pitman's shorthand scribbles of every utterance said in the show.
One imagines that, as with the rest of his posts, once he clicks "submit", he punches the air with a "hooray" sound and switches his PC off.
Why else would he continue to recap events and words the way he does - when he's always told not to bother? Who does it serve? Does he think it reinforces his position?
I can't find one person who particularly wanted Widdecome to continue in the show - we'd ALL rather the better dancers continue. But are we all "outraged of Chester"? No. Because we all know its just one of those things, and it is an entertainment show, after all.
I have to conclude there's a medical condition that causes him to behave this way. He's not normal - not even within a wide range of tolerance.
Dullest man I have ever engaged with. And I work in finance, for fucks sake.

It's his complete inability to take on board what anyone else says, or even take that into account with his subsequent ramblings which winds me up the most. The point when I decided he was a complete waste of time and space was after explaining at him why they would use strobe lighting in Eurovision, and the thought processes and challenges they will have faced when coming up with the lighting designs and he completely ignored it and basically said it mustn't be like that and the show would have been far better if Pete Hellier (sp?) was performing. I suppose I may have annoyed him slightly (if he actually understood what I wrote) when I said I prefered a song which he'd called drivel, and said I didn't like a song he said that should have won, despite going out in the semi-finals.
Forums are supposed to be for discussion. Tumble Tower does not discuss, he talks at us like we're children.

Tumble annoys me so with his stupid channel codes. If I'm discussing BBC Parliament I'll call it that, not BBC 7, and his idea that plus one channels are pointless because 'back in his day' he didn't have HTV+1.
Was it him, in his bigheadedness who posted a review of the year spanning two threads, because he felt we needed his opinion on how TV was that year, and how his criticism would make it all better. It all really does my head in.
