No it's not never, what would be the point of the riddle? And no, not 2008 either.
Ok, how about if I restructure the riddle a bit? Last year, Boxing Day fell on December 29th. How?

I'm totally stymied.
I thought it was a little like, "how many months of the year have 28 days?".
But its not.

Is it something to do with Bank Holidays by any chance? Boxing Day fell on a Saturday, making Tuesday the 29th the Boxing Day bank holiday?
Something like that anyway, thats all I can think of.
EDIT: Surely by my own logic that would make 28th the Boxing Day Bank Holiday... this is hurting my brain.

Bank Holidays was my thinking too but like his cock up here I came to the conclusion it would have to be the 28th. Or does Bank Holiday Monday take precedence and force Boxing Day onto Tuesday?

I'll give you a clue - we have had a similar riddle already in this thread.

Yes Beep you've already got it. Boxing Day was a racehorse who fell during a race on December 29th.
Very well Sput - here's one on your level. The Black Knight lived in the town of Night. Once, at midnight, when there was no moon or stars in the sky, he came out of his house to look for his black horse. Immediately he could see it. How?
