So a convicted criminal is a gentleman is he? That is not the usual Conservative view on felons.
At least we are all agreed on the type of company that Madame T kept, ie criminal or alleged criminal, accused of murder and kidnapping.

Well I see it's not been picked up yet, but the Lords have accepted a deal that means anyone applying for a passport before January 1st, 2010, won't have to get an ID card. They will, however, have to submit biometric information to be stored on the passport and - yes, you've guessed it - on the national register too!

Since it's the Register that I principally oppose (although I'm not too happy about the card either), this isn't good news!
