Some antipodean delights for you. The only thing more irritating than this ad is this one.

Just everything about it.

King.com. Encouraging gambling as it's "only 20p". Per go, presumably. And aside from that, the ad is just bloody annoying.

I never understand why, if smoking ads are banned, gambling and alcohol ones aren't. I don't have a strong view either way as I can see a case for both sides, but there should at least be some logic/consistency to what's allowed and what's not.

Because even in moderation, smoking is bad for your health. Drinking in moderation isn't. And gambling isn't bad for your health, it's just bad for your wallet.

That's a fair point, although it's culture that really decides, and advertising contributes to taht.

No, it's your health that decides that. Smoking erodes both your money and the lining in your lungs. Whereas gambling erodes your money only.

Of course, if you smoke whilst gambling, then you can't have any complaints.

I think we have confused the subject of "that". I was referring to whether or not an ad is deemed acceptable.

The red car and the blue car are racing again. The classic old Milky Way adverts are back on, stirring memories I never knew I had!
