The iPhone is a nice phone, there's no doubting it - with a large range of apps, great screen, nice user interface et cetera - but I would say, is it worth the money compared to other phones on similar contracts?

There's plenty of other very nice phones for the same price or less with Android/WP7 on board. Samsung Galaxy S2 for example is an excellent phone and I would have it over the iPhone in a heartbeat:

I'd go out and try some phones (a lot of O2/Carphone Warehouse stores have live models ready to go) and see which ones you prefer.

You know that's the same price as the iPhone 4s, right?

Thanks for the reply, Drew. In regards to the Galaxy S II, I've had a little play with it, as my little Brother got one for his 21st Birthday last Christmas. It is a very nice phone, and it is was on the shortlist, but, as the iPhone is surprising cheap in this deal, I thought I might as well splash out!

Additionally, I though things like Photostream might be useful, as then images will appear on iPad, and later in the year, when I get my Mac, they'll appear in iPhoto, which, in the romanticised way I'm viewing, simplifies numerous things.

If you've already got Apple products then the iPhone might be better to plump for then just so everything will play nicely together. It's all down to opinion and needs in the end!

Incidentally, it would appear my current laptop has decided that it doesn't like the concept of the Internet anymore, and due to sporadic drop-outs that are, for once, not the fault of my HomeHub, I would say the Wireless adapter is failing, meaning I'll be buying that Mac a lot sooner, if it's the case.

You're going to buy a new computer over a ten quid NIC?

The computer in question is due to be replaced anyway, being a six year old, painfully slow old Toshiba Laptop. Celeron M, you know.
