Ronnie Rowlands wrote:I haven't read the thread but am I right in thinking that all the die hard who fans hate him for being young/different/in modern Doctor Who? I read some very hurtful threads about him on IMBD. I hate die hard Who fans.
I gave up after one member was explaining how he was "getting over" his disappointment that it wasn't some actor he'd heard about through spoilers.

Have you ever heard anything so silly?

I saw a comment on Stephen Fry's Twitter page, saying they were 'sorry' that he 'didn't get the Doctor Who job'. I do believe that people raved over the possibility of him becoming the Doctor the last 2 times, but has he ever actually expressed public interest in the role? Die-hard Doctor Who fans are never satisfied with anything and they actually hate most of the old stories as well. I wrote a hate filled post denouncing extreme Who fandom on another forum but I hardly think it's appropriate for the den of class that is Metropol.

And incidentally, is it just me, or is Fry suggested for *everything*? "Fry should be the Doctor, Fry should host Countdown, Fry should host HIGNFY, Fry should be Prime Minister". They should just kill everyone in the world and let Stephen Fry do everything. (Although that actually might not be a bad idea)
Ronnie is victorious, vivacious in victory like a venomous dog. Vile Republicans cease living while the religious retort with rueful rhetoric. These rank thugs resort to violence and swear revenge.

But Ronnie can punch through steel so they lose anyway.

All Dr Who fans are bad for Dr Who.

As an addenum, all Takeshi's Castle fans are bad for Total Wipeout which, as the name indicates, is not Takeshi's Castle (I'm looking at you Connews.)

Moral of the story, absorbed geeks are bad for anything they're absorbed in, back to you Nicholas.

Oh, I doubt he has kids very much, he doesn't like the sort who's on the market. If you want to know more of the sordid truth of Tumbly's life, just have to do a little looking for his posts right here. Be forewarned, if you find his like for CBeebies a little worrying then expect that worry to grow.

Does he live with his mother?

We should sign him up to a dating website ( using similar characteristics) and see the how many (IF any) responses we get.

beep, whilst holding up a mirror to his life and expecting to see yours staring back is a noble idea, albeit downright dumb, I reckon he has the wherewithal to live alone or at least his ramblings indicate as much.

Why bother?

Just send him to Bideford for his next holiday.

I'm sure he'll find love.
