I did forget about that, but the public wouldn't have been aware of that note so I don't expect it swayed the vote either way. I thought devaluing was held off because Labour had previously devalued the pound once or twice before and didn't want to become the party of devaluation.

Tony Blair's intervention and the constant near bullying of Corbyn is only benefiting one person - Corbyn. As he is polite and calm it only makes him look better than his vicious, careerist opponents. If he doesn't win I reckon there's about a 33% chance of a split in the Labour Party - with the left going off to form their own party. While this wouldn't be electorally beneficial I expect the new party would be as popular as the remaining party and it would fuck the leadership of the Labour Party who take the 50 MPs who oppose them for granted.

Also is it wrong that there is a part of me that wants Liz to win and Labour to lose the next election to prove that being right wing isn't beneficial to the Labour party. Although the Chuka and the gang will probably decide they lost the election because they were too left wing and turn the party into some kind of Gladstonian mess.

There is NO reason why Corbyn cant become leader. Thats not to say he will still be leader for the next election, IE he could run the party until 2018/2019 and stand down etc.

While Labour has always had lefties and right-wingers, although probably never on a scale of the last 20 years, what happened to the genuine left one-nation Tories? The Conservatives used to have few people in there who were left of centre - Ian Gilmour, Harold MacMillan etc. Nowadays the Conservatives are pretty much a party of Thatcherites, some of whom are slightly more libertarian than others. Today 'One Nation' is pretty much used to describe the exact policies that Disraeli warned about in the original metaphor. From an ideological stand point both political parties are far more neo-liberal than conservative or socialist.

Today's Tories grew up idolising Thatcher, which shapes their cunty attitude today.

Today's Labourites grew up idolising Blair, which shapes their equally cunty attitude today.

I see Mr Blair has now started pleeding with the Labour electorate not to elect Corbyn - i.e. just handed Corbyn the election.

Indeed. I saw that on The Guardian and it led me straight to the signup page on Labour's flaky website. I'll be voting for Corbyn.

The Labour Party has to move to the left. Corbyn is the only candidate offering that.

Yepp. I registered at ~2pm.

So if your a union member you no longer get a automatic vote? You had to say you wanted to?
