That said, Souter may have many non-vile reasons to support the SNP, as well as other businessmen.

Aye - for all my Labour pontificating, its true that we all ultimately vote in a way that we feels serves us best. And I think the SNP are currently doing that.

Polls have just closed in the Welsh Assembly Referendum. I'm not ashamed to say I voted yes, removing the need for Westminster to fiddle about for two months before passing our laws. Opinion polls suggest low turnout, but amongst those who said they would definitely be voting, the Yes camp had a clear lead in the 60s. Results tomorrow on BBC 2 Wales and S4C.

Wasn't there alot of people wanting rid of the Assembly a few years ago ?

Wasn't there alot of people wanting rid of the Assembly a few years ago ?

The original referendum in 1999 resulted in a 51-49 split. Since then polls have consistently shown support for the assembly rising.
