Oh but it's *better* than last year in several ways and the uploader theme is a brand new variant I'll have you know. Anyway why let a lovely theme like this go to waste.

Coloured username to the first person who can spot all 4 new tweaks to the theme (OK 3 as I just mentioned one of them).

I miss the other theme. It co-ordinated really well with my beautiful Christmas decorations.

Three and a half out of four. We're using the same font as last year, but there is something different about the font.

I'd go along with the others, but i'm pretty certain we had that last year as well, though it might have been a later addition rather than present from day one.

I remember because I got involved in a discussion about the page moving downwards after it initially appeared, to make room for the bigger font, usually just as you were about to click on something, so you missed and got the item above the one you wanted.

Its not an image anymore its a "datauri" not that I know what that means..

Oh.. supposedly it "implemented client side rather than server side vastly improving the ability to display"

Now do I get a foul colour :D

no because I told you the answer :)

Yes the answer is I'm using cufon to display the fonts rather than the antiquated javascript/php/png system of old. Means it's quicker, looks better and doesn't do the annoying shoving the page down thing that Nick mentioned.

Rather annoyingly I can't use it with the normal dot matrix font as that font is protected from embedding, which is rather odd for a free font imo. If anyone knows of a nice dot matrix font that you convert to cufon format, do give me a PM.

The second paragraph of my previous post was originally written in an odd mixture of the present and past tense. For consistency, I changed it all to present tense before posting.

You will, no doubt, be overjoyed to hear that I have now edited it all to the past tense as a trubute to your making sure the problem does not exist this year.

Can we have an easier competition next time please. How is a techy divvy like me gonna stand a chance of winning a pink username with a question and answer like that.
However i have noticed a spelling mistake in thread title. Does that count?
