they're also incapable of vacuuming and seem to think that just clunking it off furniture around a room will clean the floor properly. Then they accuse you of not doing ti right when you mvoe all the furniture around to get underneath the stuff.

I've just remembered what's weird and wrong -- people who, when told they have the wrong number, go "are you sure?"

Could they be talking about written Welsh as used in Wales? You know, that country called Cymru in their own language. That's Cymru with a fairly obvious "u" at the end.

There's a Duffryn in Newport, which is an Anglicised (i.e. lazy) spelling of Dyffryn, as the yf is an "uff" sound. As Nick points out, the u in Welsh is an "ee" sound. There's a rather nice place just north of Wenvoe (ITV Wales studios) called Dyffryn Gardens which is well worth a visit.

Duffryn in Newport is the place where the "School Reunion" episode of Dr Who was filmed, and also the place which daubed "Paedo" graffiti on a paediatrician's door.
