That's not a unique phenomenom..I was reading the paper the other day and they found that it was actually quicker to cycle from the outer suburbs to the city than it was to drive a car, take a train, or ride a motorbike in this city as well.

With walking and riding being increasingly more popular I suppose it makes sense.

This is the same Manchester you hate and think is full of gun and knife-wielding yobs?

And I think Top Gear recently demonstrated that public transport is quicker than a car through London at rush hour - and I think even further back a marathon runner beat Jezza in a car.

I must confess, Manchester is ok (Bits of it are dodgey) I wouldn't want to live there though.

Ahh Chubby likes it. The tourist board will be flooded now that you've made this recommendation.
Ronnie is victorious, vivacious in victory like a venomous dog. Vile Republicans cease living while the religious retort with rueful rhetoric. These rank thugs resort to violence and swear revenge.

But Ronnie can punch through steel so they lose anyway.

Ah... I can just see it on the official Visit Manchester tourist board website:

"I mean Manchester only has one culture and that is the Gun culture. I went to my uncle's funeral in Manchester and within the 30 mins we were in the church some one was shot in the street outside. "

Have we mentioned his website yet? http://mikewhile.co.uk/default.aspx

Anyway, I was going to say when this thread first started (but forgot) that it may not make any difference what you put Sput - not for any cynical reason, but because most people will just be anti-congestion charge whatever the pros and cons. At least in my experience.

Love the warning about what Beep Chubby will do if you "geprodise" his site. The mind boggles.
