Yes popcorn is confectionary and CDD is sharing those Brazil nuts with me.

I'd say it depends on which part of popcorn you think of: there's a lot of air, a lot of sugar/salt and a lot of corn, and since two out of those things are healthy I'd be inclined to say not only is it not confectionery it's actually a health food
