Pfft!! I saw you once in the metrochambers with Gav wearing your smoking jackets and chugging on fat cigars.

Tsk, I thought Gav's metrochamber was closed for essential maintenance.

I would like to see a ban on playing music out of your phone on a bus. that's bloody annoying.

If that ban stems the tide of god-awful 'hold' music, that's fine by me!

Oh yes, it was truly the drink of the future wasn't it? Now we're here, I'm still waiting for it.

Johnnyboy...leave the country as soon as possible please. Don't come back. I think you'll find a lot of the civilised world is introducing smoking restrictions, so you and your filthy habit will be hard pressed to find a home soon.

Oh and repeating a soundbite over and over in an attempt to make a feeble point (ZaNu) is VERY New Labour.

Oh...the thing I wan't back? Mountain Dew. And those things that were like Minstrels, but half white chocolate and half milk chocolate...can't remember their name right now...

There is a growing campaign to get many of these products back, even if just on a temporary basis for nostalgia purposes. You have to wonder whether they would have an appeal much beyond that in today's climate of "healthy labelling" though.

I used to really like "Cream Soda" (clear variety), but I bet it was packed full of sugar and unnatural chemicals. I recall finding something similar under a different name in Sainsbury's a few years ago. I still buy the odd bottle of "Dandelion & Burdock" because it similarly reminds my of my long-distant youth and happy care-free Saturday afternoons at my Nan's house.

The cream soda from Waitrose says it has actual cream in it. I could be making that up though as that doesn't sound right.

That certainly doesn't sound right. It would explain the sweet flavour, but surely it would go off during storage.

Methinks more research is required here on the ingredients of "Cream Soda".
* Runs off to check t'internet further * ;)

EDIT:
Contains water, lots of sugar, vanilla & yeast. Apparently it used to be served with Ice Cream on top, which may account for the recollection you have Netizen.

Oh yes! That's how i remember my first taste of cream soda, with a dollop of vanilla ice cream. Vanilla icecream and coke is a bit nice too. Oh this takes me back to my teens.
