It was actually a gift from a friend of mine, so I don't know where it was purchased. I'm beginning to think it was from PC World myself.

You're obviously clueless about revisions to OS X if you're insisting there are no substantial changes from version to version. If it were a "con" then why do they still release updates that work on 4 year old hardware?

I finally got a TV thing for my computer seeing as they were in the PC World sale. I asked a chap which was the best for the money I was prepared to pay, he disappeared into a room for 10 minutes, leaving me to decide for myself (Hauppauge + WinTV) and he came out and said "yeah that one".

I was under the impression that Metropol was unique. I think I'll find it is.
