Mac and linux are far better than windows because there are hardly any virus

If you are not stupid, you never get a virus on Windows either.

Some people prefer Windows. Others Macs or Linux.

Life goes on.

Does anyone here, who is familiar with Linux, able to help me resolve my aMSN problem?

what an insightful comment, just the kind of thing i'd expect you to come out with. There is more to being "good" that supposed invulnerability to viruses.

In a way, using Linux is a bit like talking with barcode on here. It looks normal enough, but it takes quite a lot of effort to get things done.

You ever tried getting a wireless card to work in Mandriva 2007? Or changed your graphics card after configuring X? Things that should happen simply don't, and I'm willing to bet I know a damn sight more than you about it.
